Nora Dunn, a prominant former cast member of "Saturday Night Live," is to premiere a new one-woman show at Theater Wit in Chicago this summer.
Titled "Mythical Proportions," the semi-autobiographical piece draws from Dunn's childhood on the West Side of Chicago and also her travels through show business and her interactions with the colorful characters therein.
The 70-minute piece is to include monologues performed in character. some of which Dunn, now a Chicago resident, has been trying out in appearances at various venues around town. The summer date, however, will be the first time the piece has been fully put together.
Opening night for "Mythical Proportions" is slated for Aug. 19 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave.
