Woman accused of bringing pot to Midway Airport

A California woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon at Midway Airport after she allegedly told police officers she was carrying several pounds of pot.

Roseanne Marisco, 24, of Petaluma, Calif., was charged with one count of felony cannabis possession. Police officers conducting field interviews at the airport found she was carrying roughly 2,500 grams of cannabis, or about 5.5 pounds.

She was carrying the pot in a black and pink duffle bag, according to the police report. The estimated street value of the drugs, the report said, is more than $15,000.

Marisco was brought Wednesday afternoon to the Cook County Leighton Criminal Courthouse and ordered held in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
