Are you a master at creating beautiful images using Instagram?
You may now have the chance to put your skills to work and have your image displayed in an exhibit being presented by W Chicago Lakeshore.
The luxury hotel is searching for the next big "Instagrammer" to be featured in an exhibit that brings social media's most popular photo sharing app to life.
In partnership with New York Instagram photographer, @takeinyerphoto, W is searching for talented Instagram photographers to be spotlighted in Chicago's first ever Instagram photo exhibition.
Andy Conklin, area director of sales and marketing for W Hotels, said they were inspired by the idea, which first started in New York at W Times Square.
"They had a huge success in New York with over 6,000 submissions," he said. "We're committed to bringing what's new and next for our guests and there's no better place to do something like this, especially with our view of Lake Michigan."
"This exhibit definitely lends itself to support the W brand of music, fashion and design."
To participate, the public must upload an image to Instagram with the hash tag #WVIEW before Sunday.
Images submitted for review should focus on the impact that urban design elements and architecture have on the character of a city's view.
Five Instagram judges headlining the promotion will each select two of their favorite images to be featured in the exhibit, which will debut from 6 to 8 p.m. July 26 at the W Chicago Lakeshore Living Room and Wave Patio.
Conklin said they have received 3,000 submissions so far.
"When you have a contest, you're not sure how it's going to turn out, but we're extremely happy with the response so far," he said. "There's still a week left, so we encourage more submissions because the prizes are amazing."
The grand prize includes a two-night stay at W Chicago Lakeshore, dinner for two in WAVE, VIP table for two in Whiskey Sky with a sampling of four specialty Hendricks Gin cocktails, one Blissage 75 in W Chicago Lakeshore's Bliss Spa and one Ollo Clip.
