Two Chicago men have been accused of starting a garage fire Tuesday in Bridgeport.

The fire was reported at 1:15 a.m. in the 2900 block of South Canal Street, a mostly residential area near the border of Bridgeport and Armor Square.

Rafael Delgado, 39, of the 800 block of West 33rd Street, and Anthony Ray Catala, 19, of the 3200 block of South Union Street, were charged with arson. Delgado was also charged with one felony count of theft after police found a baseball bat and spotlight that had been reported stolen in his posessesion.

Delgado and Catala are expected to be brought to the Cook County Criminal Courthouse Wednesday for their bond hearings.
