Local haunted houses casting actors

Two area Haunted Houses are looking for actors to haunt their halls in October and have scheduled several casting calls beginning Saturday.

Fear City Chicago 2013 and Carnivale at Fables Studios need more than 100 actors aged 16 and up of all shapes and sizes to perform during the run of shows beginning Oct. 4. Anyone under 18 must have parental approval to accept the jobs. Improvisational actors, dancers, performance artists and general haunters are encouraged to apply for the paid roles.

Actors must be available for all show times and dates, which are 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. Oct. 4-6, Oct. 11-13, Oct.17-20, Oct. 23-27 and Oct. 30-Nov. 2.

Auditions are taking place at Fear City Chicago 2013 and Carnivale at Fables Studios, 8240 Austin Ave., Morton Grove, on the following dates:

  • Saturday, Aug. 31
  • Wednesday, Sept. 4
  • Saturday, Sept. 7
  • Monday, Sept. 9
  • Wednesday, Sept. 11

Actors must submit their information for consideration prior to the audition at www.FearCityChicago.com, and they will be given an audition date and time.
