Developers unveil renderings for Lakeview Mariano's complex

A Mariano's could be coming to Lakeview, and it could bring a fitness club, a new park, and 279 parking spots to North Broadway Avenue, too.

The developers of 3030 N. Broadway Ave. project unveiled the renderings for the five-story complex at a neighborhood meeting Monday night.

The future retail complex's North Broadway space has been empty since 2005, when the Dominick's that used to occupy it burned down, according to real estate website Curbed: Chicago. The developers are hoping to break ground in February 2015 and open in the summer of 2016.
