It may not be hot enough this weekend to jump into a pool to cool off, but just in case a heatwave strikes, you'll be able to dip your toes into any outdoor public pool beginning Friday.
The Chicago Park District's 49 outdoor pools will open on June 13 for the summer season and run through Labor Day.
Several have fun features like water slides at Washington Park, Palmer Park, Norwood Park, Humboldt Park and Avalon Park, or water playgrounds at Tuley Park, Riis Park, Portage Park and Oakdale Park. Click here for locations and hours.
The district also manages 28 indoor pools, which are open year-round.
