Magnolia Bakery is selling the 'Gay Pride' cupcake during the month of June. (June 12, 2012) |
Want to taste the rainbow? At Magnolia Bakery this month, you can.
The bakery has cooked up a special cupcake to celebrate Gay Pride 2012. It will be available all month, leading up to the official Pride weekend on June 23 and 24.
For $3.50 each, the cupcakes include the colors of the rainbow and come in vanilla or chocolate with butter cream and edible rainbow decorations.
Stephanie Daniels, the bakery's events coordinator, said creating specialty cupcakes--the bakery also introduced a NATO cupcake in May--is a way of celebrating events along with the city.
"We've seen a lot of people excited about the cupcake and have stopped in to get it, especially because it's so cute with all of the colors," she said.
Magnolia Bakery is at 108 N. State St.
