Derailment disrupts service on Blue Line

CTA Blue Line service halted after derailment

Trains have been stopped on the CTA Blue Line between the Harlem and Forest Park stations after a "minor derailment" this morning, officials said.

Shuttle buses were running between the Harlem and Forest Park stations, according to the CTA website.  

A westbound train derailed as it approached the Forest Park station about 11:15 a.m., according to Lambrini Lukidis, a spokeswoman for the CTA, citing preliminary information.
