HUNTINGTON, WEST VIRGINIA (KTLA) -- Comedian Andy Dick pleaded not guilty Friday on charges of grabbing two men by their crotches at a West Virginia bar.

He is accused of sexually assaulting the two men at a bar in Huntington, West Virginia in January 2010.

He faces up to 5 years in prison.

The "NewsRadio" actor, who has long struggled with substance abuse problems, is no stranger to run-ins with the law.

On May 3, Riverside County Sheriff's deputies were called to the Marie Callender's restaurant on Rancho California Road by someone reporting an "intoxicated male subject who was causing a disturbance inside the restaurant."

When deputies arrived they found Dick in the bar area displaying "symptoms associated with alcohol intoxication" and noted "he was unable to care for his own safety," according to a statement.

Dick was booked on suspicion of public intoxication.

The 45-year-old appeared intoxicated at Newport Lexus around midnight April 29, according to attendees and a festival co-founder, when he exposed himself and rubbed against one of the tables. He then reportedly entered a festival display booth before urinating on the backdrop and tearing it down.

In 2008, he received probation after being arrested for drug possession and sexual battery at a restaurant in neighboring Murrietta.
