Riders of the No. 11 Lincoln Avenue bus and the No. 145 Wilson/Michigan Express have one more month to enjoy their service before it gets cut or changed.
Service changes on many buses and trains will go into effect Dec. 16. Most rail lines will see additional service during rush hour while more than a dozen bus lines will see partial or complete elimination. Some bus routes will also see more buses.
The CTA said it is implementing these changes, which don't cost anything, to reduce crowds on buses and trains.
The most controversial of all the changes is the elimination of No. 11 service between the Western and Fullerton Brown Line stops and the complete elimination of No. 145 service.
Hundreds of riders protested these changes, which the CTA board approved without opposition in September.
