Knicks rookie Iman Shumpert is based in New York but he's always just a few stops from Chicago.
The 21-year-old guard has a tattoo of the CTA Green Line from Harlem/Lake to Central on his left arm. There's a star at the Ridgeland stop in Oak Park, which is his home stop.
Shumpert, a first team all-state player at Oak Park and River Forest High School, got the tattoo in the summer of 2010 in Atlanta to "remind him all the time where he is from," a Knicks spokesman said in an e-mail.
Shumpert, who attended Georgia Tech, was the 17th pick in the NBA Draft last year. He has averaged 11 points per game this season.
