Inside the CTA video surveillance room
CTA President Forrest Claypool and Chicago police allowed the media inside the CTA's video surveillance room on Oct. 26, 2012. The new surveillance room is about 2,800 square feet, more than 12 times larger than the previous video room, the CTA said.

CTA President Forrest Claypool said CTA cameras have helped lead to the arrest of 134 people since January 1.There are more than 2,600 cameras across the system.
