CTA retires 2200-series cars with accordion doors

The CTA on Thursday retired its fleet of 2200-series cars that have accordion doors and run on the Blue Line. The CTA held a farewell ride from the Rosemont to the Jefferson Park stations. Decals outside the car denoted that it was a goodbye ride. Inside the cars were advertisements from the late 1960s and early 1970s, when the cars first went into service. By Tracy Swartz
