Chicagoans who drive less over the next few months have the chance to win prizes including dinner and tickets to the symphony.
The Regional Transportation Authority, the funding arm for the CTA and Metra, is hosting a "Drive Less Live More" challenge to encourage Chicagoans to bike and ride transit instead of drive.
Participants can register at drivelesslivemore.com and track their transportation use to be eligible for various prizes.
More than 300 people have signed up for the challenge, the RTA said.
It's not clear whether one of the challenge participants will be Mayor Emanuel, who recently suggested that CTA riders who don't like proposed fare hikes could drive instead.
The mayor's office did not respond to a RedEye request for comment.
