City wants input on South Side transit proposals
The city is seeking feedback on five potential projects that could improve transit on the South Lakefront Corridor, from 22nd Street to 95th Street east of the Dan Ryan Expressway.
The city presented these projects Monday night at Apostolic Church of God in Woodlawn.

Proposal 1: Enhanced bus service
A new crosstown bus route on 83rd Street from South Shore to Stewart would also stop at the 87th Red Line station. Currently, bus service exists on 79th Street and 87th Street.
The city also is looking at restoring bus service on 31st Street, gone for more than a decade, and King Drive express service, cut last year.
