5 years of the CTA Pink Line
This week marks the fifth anniversary of the Pink Line, formerly the Douglas branch on the Blue Line. The CTA began experimental Pink Line service on June 25, 2006. To celebrate, Going Public has compiled five fun facts about the Pink Line.

Most popular stop
The Polk stop on the Near West Side is the Pink Line stop that sees the highest ridership (not including Loop stops and Ashland and Clinton, which also serve the Green Line). On a typical weekday last month, the Polk stop saw about 3,000 of the 14,400 Pink Line riders.
