Man falls onto L tracks, affecting Brown, Red Line service

Some Brown and Red Line trains were operating with delays after a man fell onto the tracks this morning in the Lincoln Park community, according to the CTA and Chicago police.

About 10:20 a.m. a man of an unknown age fell onto the tracks near the Diversey station on the Brown Line, according to Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Robert Perez.

That station is located at 943 W. Diversey Pkwy., according to the CTA's website.

The man was in fair condition, said Perez. Chicago Fire Department spokesman Chief Joe Roccasalva said the person was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

As of 11:15 a.m. minor delays were being reported, but trains are moving again and normal service was being restored, according to the CTA website.
