Ten people were injured when a car and a standard-sized CTA bus collided early Saturday morning on the South Side, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
Ambulances took two people to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious-to-critical condition, one person to South Shore Hospital in fair-to-serious condition, four people to Bernard Mitchell Hospital of the University of Chicago Hospitals in good-to-fair condition, and three people to Jackson Park Hospital in good-to-fair condition.
The car was traveling north and hit the southbound bus in the 7200 block of South Jeffery Boulevard in the South Shore neighborhood after crossing the center line, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said. The car's driver was one of the two people taken to Christ Hospital.
