The West Side saw two homicides on Sunday night, police said.
A 16-year-old boy was shot to death in the 1100 block of North Harding Avenue in Humboldt Park, police said.
Meanwhile, a man in his 20s was fatally shot in the 1100 block of South Austin Boulevard in Austin, according to officials.
Austin, Chicago's largest community area, has recorded 32 homicides so far this year, RedEye data shows. Thirty homicides were logged last year.
Humboldt Park has recorded 16 homicides so far this year, according to RedEye data. Twenty-homicides were logged last year.
Seven homicides have been recorded so far this month. Thirty-seven homicides were logged in December last year, according to RedEye data.
