A 20-year-old Bronzeville man was charged with shooting a 14-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man last month in the Uptown neighborhood.

The boy was listed in critical condition with head wounds and the 22-year-old has been released from the hospital, police said.

Kelsky Patterson, of the 4600 block of South Drexel Boulevard, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery by discharging a firearm. He's due in court Thursday.

Police said the shooting followed a "physical altercation" and said Patterson fired shots from a bicycle toward the 14-year-old and 22-year-old.

The two were standing on the southwest corner of Wilson Avenue and Broadway on Aug. 31, police said.
