Three people were hurt in South Side shootings Thursday night and early this morning, police said.
The most recent shooting happened about 1:20 a.m. in the South Shore neighborhood. A 33-year-old man sustained a graze wound to the hip in the 7600 block of South Essex Avenue, police said. The man refused medical treatment, and the circumstances of the shooting were not immediately clear.
About 10:40 p.m., someone in a van fired shots at a nearby vehicle in the 9600 block of South Princeton Avenue, in the Longwood Manor neighborhood, police said.
A 21-year-old woman sitting in the second vehicle was struck in the arm, police said. The woman drove herself to Little Company of Mary Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, according to police.
Earlier, a 31-year-old man was shot after an argument in the Gresham neighborhood, police said.
The shooting happened about 9:20 p.m. in the 1200 block of West 79th Street, according to police. Someone pulled a gun after a verbal dispute, shot the man in his ankle and fled the scene, police said.
The 31-year-old man was taken to St. Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center, where he was listed in good condition.
No suspects are in custody in the shooting. Area South detectives are investigating.
