A nursing home security guard has been charged with shooting another man in the lower back earlier this month, prosecutors alleged in court.

Marcus Woods, 27, allegedly shot the victim Aug. 20 in the 500 block of North Pine Avenue, according to the charging documents.

Woods was later identified by witnesses in a lineup and by his nickname, prosecutors said.

The 27-year old was arrested on Thursday at Park House Extended Care, where he works as a security guard.

Woods, of the 500 block of North Pine Avenue, was charged with attempted murder.

On Saturday, he was ordered to be held in lieu of a $1 million bail.
