A 29-year-old man was stabbed and critically injured after a late-night argument in a West Side's South Austin neighborhood, authorities said.
About 11 p.m., someone pulled out a knife during an argument inside an apartment in the 5900 block of West Iowa Street, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.
The 29-year-old man tried to run away through a gangway but was stabbed in the back and the upper right chest, Gaines said.
He was taken to West Suburban Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.
No suspects were in custody as of 4 a.m., Gaines said.
