A 72-year-old man was shot in a robbery at a dry cleaner shop in the Park Manor neighborhood Monday afternoon, police said.

Masked men robbed a shop in the 200 block of East 69th Street just before 12:30 p.m., said Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien, citing initial information.

The man was shot in the upper leg during the armed robbery and taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where his condition was stabilized, O'Brien said.

The address where the robbery took place, 219 E. 69th Street, is a dry cleaner.

Police did not have detailed descriptions of the men who robbed the shop. Initial information indicated three men may have robbed the shop, but police later said only two were involved in Monday's robbery.
