Two men were shot and wounded in a drive-by attack in the South Chicago neighborhood this morning, police said.
A 19-year-old man was wounded in the right shoulder and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center for treatment, while a 20-year-old suffered a graze wound to the head in the attack in the 8400 block of South Baltimore Avenue, said Chicago Police News Affaris Officer Jose Estrada.
The attack took place as the two were standing outside about 12:19 p.m., Estrada said. Someone in a maroon pickup truck drove past and opened fire, hitting the two.
The younger man's condition was stabilized at Christ Medical Center, while the older man did not require hospitalization.
Area South detectives were investigating.
