Two men were shot in the Lawndale neighborhood Thursday afternoon, police said.

The two were sitting in a vehicle in the 2300 block of South Kostner Avenue when someone approached on foot and opened fire about 1:06 p.m., police said

A 26-year-old man shot in the face was in serious condition at Mount Sinai Hospital, while an 18-year-old man shot in the shoulder was in good condition at the same hospital, said News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien.

Police said no one was in custody as of early this morning.
