A 20-year-old man accidentally shot himself in the leg this morning in the Albany Park neighborhood and another man was shot in the leg in the South Chicago neighborhood this evening, police said.

The man went to Swedish Covenant Hospital following the incident, which happened about 10:05 a.m. in the 4900 block of North Ridgeway Avenue, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the left thigh and was in good condition, Sedevic said. Police determined the wound was self-inflicted.

About 5:30 p.m., an 18-year-old man was injured in a possible drive-by shooting in the 8700 block of South Commercial Avenue, said News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney. The man refused medical treatment, Sweeney said.
