Three people were shot and wounded this afternoon near Jackson Park Hospital, authorities said.
A woman, 30, and two men, ages 25 and 26, were shot about 5 p.m. as they drove on 76th Street near the hospital, police said. The two males and a female were shot about 5:02 p.m. near 76th and Stony Island Avenue and were being treated at Jackson Park Hospital, Police News Affiars Ana Pacheco said, citing preliminary information.
At least two of those shot were believed to have run to Jackson Park Hospital seeking treatment. One person was taken from the scene to Jackson Park Hospital by Chicago Fire Department ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries, Fire Department spokeswoman Chief Verdi Allen said.
