A 17-year-old boy who just got off a Pink Line train in the Lawndale neighborhood was shot Sunday night and a man was wounded in an Englewood shooting a couple hours later.
The boy got off the Pink Line at Kedzie Avenue about 7 p.m. and was walking east when he heard shots and felt pain. He had seen two men standing near the train tracks before the shooting, police said.
The boy continued east after being shot and a friend picked him up before taking him to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was reported in good condition with an ankle wound.
In Englewood about 10 p.m., a 25-year-old walking in the 7000 block of South Hermitage Avenue was shot in the left foot. He heard shots and felt pain and was transported to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition.
No one is in custody in either shooting.
