Three men were shot in the Austin neighborhood overnight, police said.
The first shooting took place about 8:21 p.m. in the 1000 block of North Massasoit Avenue, said Chicago Police News Affairs Sgt. Antoinette Ursitti.
A 23-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and showed up at West Suburban Medical Center before being taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital, Ursitti said.
A 19-year-old man was shot in the leg and was taken to Loyola University Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, she said.
Area North detectives were investigating. No one was in custody.
A few hours later, about 1:05 a.m., a man was shot in the 5900 block of West Division Street, a few blocks from the earlier shooting.
A 30-year-old man was dropped off at West Suburban Medical Center with wounds to his thigh and buttocks, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.He's in stable condition.
