A 17-year-old girl suffered a graze wound in a shooting in the Woodlawn neighborhood Wednesday afternoon after a fight at a party, authorities said.

The girl was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital following the shooting in the 6400 block of South Stony Island Avenue about 3:20 p.m., according to the Chicago Fire Department's news office.

The girl was in serious condition when she was taken to the hospital following the shooting for treatment of a graze wound, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien.

The girl was at a party in an apartment when she got into a dispute with someone and was shot, O'Brien said. The girl was able to run away and called 911, he said.

Her condition was quickly stabilized, authorities said.
