Three people were wounded in a pair of overnight shootings east of the Dan Ryan Expressway on the South Side.

A 27-year-old man was shot in the lower back and grazed in his head during a robbery in the East Chatham neighborhood about 1:05 a.m. The attack happened in the 800 block of East 82nd Street.

He was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital in stable condition, police said.

The attack happened about 8:40 p.m. in the 1500 block of East 67th Street. A 37-year-old man and 42-year-old man were each wounded in the upper left leg.

Police said two shooters emerged from a red sedan and opened fire toward the two men.
