Three people were wounded in a pair of overnight shootings east of the Dan Ryan Expressway on the South Side.
A 27-year-old man was shot in the lower back and grazed in his head during a robbery in the East Chatham neighborhood about 1:05 a.m. The attack happened in the 800 block of East 82nd Street.
He was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital in stable condition, police said.
Two other men were wounded in a shooting in the Woodlawn neighborhood Tuesday night.
The attack happened about 8:40 p.m. in the 1500 block of East 67th Street. A 37-year-old man and 42-year-old man were each wounded in the upper left leg.
Police said two shooters emerged from a red sedan and opened fire toward the two men.
The 37-year-old was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center and the older man was taken to Saint Bernard Hospital & Healthcare Center.
Both are in stable condition, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
No one is in custody and Area Central detectives are investigating.
