A man was shot to death in the Marquette Park neighborhood and at least four other people were wounded in shootings across Chicago overnight.
Police discovered the dead man around 10:30 p.m. in the 6300 block of South Francisco Avenue, a few doors north of 64th Street. No name was being released, and the man was dead on the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. Relatives said he was 30 years old.
The man was standing on the street when someone came up to him and shot him in the head, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada.
Around the same time, a 22-year-old man was shot in the 1200 block of West 73rd Place in Englewood. He was listed in good condition at Saint Bernard Hospital and Healthcare Center.
Another man was shot in a robbery moments later in the 1600 block of East 70th Street in the South Shore neighborhood. The man, age 34, was on the street when three men or boys came up to him, robbed him of his wallet and other property, and shot at him when he tried to run away, Estrada said.
The man was grazed in the head and taken to Jackson Park Hospital in good condition.

The man was sitting on the front porch of a home in that area when a man or boy with a handgun came up and shot him several times, then fled on foot. The man suffered gunshots to the face and each arm, but his condition was stabilized at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County, Estrada said.
Another man was found with a gunshot wound at 71st Street and Ashland Avenue in Englewood about 2:15 a.m., Estrada said. Police found the 26-year-old in that area, and he claimed to have been shot near 6600 South State St., Estrada said. But the man, who was drunk, refused to cooperate with police, including refusing to say how he got to Ashland Avenue, and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn for treatment.
