Three people were killed in shootings over eight hours on Chicago's West Side, according to police.

In the most recent shooting, a 36-year-old man was shot to death around 3:50 a.m. in the 5900 block of West Midway Park in the Austin neighborhood. The shooting apparently happened in the first floor of a building and may have been related to a domestic dispute, police said.

The man was dead on the scene.

He was identified by family as Jermale Richardson.

The family had just buried their mother in September and are now reeling from another loss said his brother, Alfred. Richardson leaves behind three children, said his brother.

"He was a wonderful guy, he was getting his life together," said the brother.

On Thursday night, 27-year-old Dennis Glover died when two people walked up and opened fire as he walked with his girlfriend on his block in the Lawndale neighborhood, police said.

The shooting happened in the 700 block of South Kilbourn Avenue about 8:10 p.m., police said. Glover was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at 8:46 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Earlier, about 7:20 p.m., a 50-year-old man from Oswego was shot in the chest in the 1600 block of South Central Park Avenue. Two assailants gained entry to an apartment and, after a struggle, Elijah Johnson was shot, authorities said.

Johnson was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at 8:01 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office.

Other shootings in the city left two people injured Thursday.

About 11:15 p.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in the back in the 3500 block of South California Avenue, authorities said. His condition was stabilized at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn.

A 16-year-old boy was wounded Thursday afternoon in the Gresham neighborhood. The shooting happened about 3:10 p.m. on the 7700 block of South Green Street, said Police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala.

Preliminary reports said the boy walked past a group and was shot in the stomach area and the hand, Zala said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized.
