Multiple stabbings

Three men were found stabbed, one of them fatally, in a building in the South Shore neighborhood Friday evening, police said.

The stabbings were reported at 7:17 p.m. on the 7800 block of South Bennett Avenue, police said.

Officers responded to a call of a person stabbed and found three men bleeding from stab wounds in a second floor hallway, police said.

One of the men, a 27-year-old, was pronounced dead on the scene. He was identified by the Cook County medical examiner's office as Jaquinton Walker, of the 6100 block of S. Laflin Street.

A 41-year-old man stabbed in the chest and legs was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, and a 32-year-old man stabbed in the hip was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. The 32-year-old's condition was stabilized.

No suspects are in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
