Two teens were wounded tonight in an apparent drive-by shooting on the Southwest Side in the city's Wrightwood neighborhood.

Shortly after 7 p.m., the teens, 19 and 17, were walking on the 8000 block of South Maplewood Avenue when a car drove by and someone fired shots, said Police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala.

The 19-year-old was shot in the left shoulder and the other victim, 17, suffered a wound to his right leg, said Zala.

Both teens were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where their conditions were stabilized.

As of 8:25 p.m., no one was in custody for the shooting. Police were investigating.
