A human skull was found at a construction site in the city's Logan Square neighborhood

An apparently human skull has been found by workers at a two-flat in the Logan Square neighborhood, according to police.

The foreman of the work crew and officials said the skull was found in a plastic Jewel bag in the 3500 block of West Wrightwood Avenue.

Workers discovered the skull behind the wall in the attic, the foreman told WGN-TV.

Police would only say they were investigating. The Cook County medical examiner's office has been notified. Officials were still determining whether the skull, which had no visible signs of trauma, was real. A forensic anthropologist will be called in on Thursday to determine whether it is real.
