William Petersen, the actor with longtime roots on the Chicago stage, is to appear this summer at the Steppenwolf Theatre in a two-person show about a teenager and her reculsive uncle in Costa Rica.
Titled "Slowgirl" and penned by Greg Pierce, it will co-star Rae Gray and be directed by Randall Arney, the artistic director of the Geffen Theatre in Los Angeles. It will be staged in the Upstairs Theatre at Steppenwolf, with performances beginning July 18.
Famous for his work on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," Petersen is generally a big box-office draw in Chicago, where he frequently has appeared on stage over the past 30 years.
