Investigators believe one of two men who robbed a Wicker Park Chase bank branch today also robbed the same bank 10 days earlier, officials said.
The latest robbery happened today at 12:18 p.m. at the Chase branch, 1230 N. Milwaukee, police said.
Today, two men went into the bank and each walked up to two different tellers and handed them notes implying they were armed and demanded cash, FBI spokesman Ross Rice said.
Both men were wearing black leather jackets, police said. Neither man displayed a weapon, Rice said.
The men fled in a silver vehicle and drove northbound on Milwaukee Avenue, police said. No one was reported injured in the bank robbery.
Police and FBI officials are investigating.
The earlier bank robbery occured on Jan. 20. FBI officials said one of the two men responsible for today's robbery was also featured in the FBI's Bandit Tracker Web site from the early robbery.
