After a four-year absence, the Radio City Rockettes are kicking their way back to what was the Rosement Theatre and is now the Akoo Theatre.
The Radio City Christmas Spectacular will play the suburban venue from Dec. 14-30 (a better set of weeks than the November bookings of recent years) and MSG Entertainment, which owns the Radio City Musical Hall and produces the show, is promising several new sets and scenes, along with a new, 50-foot LED screen. In one of the new scenes "Magic is There," Santa takes two young brothers on a journey to the North Pole. And another new number, "Here Comes Santa Claus" explores the astounding ability of the fellow to be in so many places at once. The show's traditions, however, are all still in place.
Tickets are on sale Friday: Christmas fast approaches.
