Team StarKid, the Chicago-based theater company known for its web productions and huge online following, is headed out on tour.
The SPACE Tour, which launches in Ann Arbor, Mich. on Nov. 4 and will play 14 cities, will feature "hits" from such past Star Kid comedy-musical productions as "A Very Potter Musical, "A Very Potter Sequel," and "Starship."
When the show lands at Irving Plaza in New York on Nov. 26, Darren Criss (of "Glee" fame) will join his old pals from the University of Michigan on stage. The tour also has one night slated in Chicago: Nov. 8 at The Bottom Lounge, 1375 W. Lake St. Tickets ($25 to $70, all-ages) go on sale 9 a.m. (CST) Saturday at ticketfly.com, or to Facebook and Twitter fans at 4 p.m. (CST) Friday.
StarKid claims 160,000 Facebook fans and 74,000 Twitter followers; it says its shows have been viewed on YouTube over 97,000,000 times.
