If people say you look exactly like Food Network star Guy Fieri and that didn’t force you to stand in front of the mirror and reevaulate things, USA Network’s “Sirens” might have a job for you.
According to a post on Extraordinary Casting’s Facebook page, the single-camera comedy is looking for an overweight male between the ages of 44 and 46 with a "Guy Fieri hair cut" for Monday. That means spiked, bleached blond hair. Also, piereced ears are a plus. “Sirens” is currently filming in Chicago (I saw the show shooting Monday around Silver Cloud in Bucktown) and is produced by Denis Leary. Click here for details.
The reality competition that gave Fieri his big break, “Food Network Star,” will be casting Nov. 16 at the Westin Michigan Avenue Chicago hotel. The show is searching for applicants who have a creative and unique food perspective. The winner will get his or her own Food Network series. Click here for details.
Speaking of food competitions, Fox’s “Master Chef,” hosted by Gordon Ramsay, will be casting Oct. 19 at Le Cordon Bleu College. You need to bring one prepared dish for the judges during the audition. Click here for details.
Not a cook? Starz will be looking for male and female ballet dancers in Chicago for an untitled ballet drama Oct. 3 and 4. The scripted series revolves around a female ballet dancer with a troubled past. Click here for details.
