Redmoon Theater, the 23-year-old Chicago performance, spectacle and party-creation company, said Thursday that it is vacating its longtime “Redmoon Central” headquarters in the West Loop and heading to Pilsen.
The new (and more affordable) 57,000-square-foot space, located at 2120 S. Jefferson St., will hold between 600 and 900 people, a Redmoon spokesman said, allowing the theater company — the size and level of programing of which has ebbed and flowed greatly over the years — to produce its large-scale spectacles in the neighborhood as part of an emerging arts district.
The first show in the new space will be “Spectacle Lunatique,” a party and benefit slated for March 9.
