A 24-year-old woman found stabbed to death inside her Northwest Side apartment Monday night has been identified, authorities said.
An autopsy today found Sarah Kresilova, of the 6500 block of West Addison Street in the Dunning neighborhood, died of multiple stab wounds and possibly strangulation, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. Her death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner's office.
About 10:30 p.m. Monday, police found a woman with multiple stab wounds in her bedroom, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
Police said the woman had stab wounds to her abdomen and chest. She died on the scene, according to the medical examiner's office.
Preliminary information said the stabbing was possibly domestic-related but as of 8:45 a.m. this morning, no one was in custody for the fatal attack, police said.
