Victory Gardens Theater said Monday that it has hired Geoffrey Jackson Scott as its new director of new play development.
Although he has a background in Chicago (he was associated with the old Roadworks Productions), Jackson Scott has spent the last eight seasons in the play-development field at the New York Theatre Workshop. Sandy Shinner is continuing as associate artistic director of the company, which operates under Chay Yew's artistic direction.
