Two people were hit by an SUV under the Fullerton CTA train station about 11 p.m. Saturday, police said.
The two, a 19-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man, were taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious-to-critical condition, police said.
A black SUV with Florida license plates sat in the westbound lane in the 900 block of West Fullerton Avenue with damage to its hood and a cracked windshield. The incident happened in the Wrightwood Neighbors neighborhood on the North Side.
A 26-year-old woman from Buffalo Grove was cited for not exercising due care for a pedestrian in the roadway in the accident, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan.
An investigator from the Major Accidents Investigations Unit took measurements at the scene early Sunday morning. That section of the Chicago Police Department investigates serious and fatal crashes.
