When Beyonce was in Chicago in December, the R&B mega star dined at the vegan-friendly Karyn’s Cooked because she and rapper Jay-Z were taking part in a 22-day vegan diet at the time. The A-list couple have since gone back to their meat-eating ways, opting for Chicago Cut Steakhouse Wednesday during their current visit to Chicago.

Beyonce and Jay-Z – who will perform Thursday at Soldier Field – were joined by their daughter Blue Ivy and around seven security guards, according to Chicago Cut managing partner David Flom.

Flom said they ordered tuna tartare and sliders to start and then a steak for Jay-Z and salmon for Beyonce. He added that Jay-Z was talkative and inquired about the restaurant’s backstory and asked to see the chef.

“They couldn’t have been nicer,” Flom said.

Beyonce shopped Wednesday at Topshop. She visited that same Topshop store while in Chicago in December.

During another visit to Chicago in 2011, Beyonce and Jay-Z dined at the now-closed Great Lake pizzeria in Andersonville.

Director Woody Allen had lunch at Chicago Cut on Sunday. The Blackhawks' Patrick Kane and Bryan Bickell had dinner there later that night, as did teammate Andrew Shaw, who was celebrating his birthday with family.

The Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade attended a dinner for his foundation Tuesday at Chicago Cut.
