Hershey Felder, the pianist and showman whose composer-based solo shows have long been popular in Chicago, will make his return to the Royal George Theatre this fall.
Felder said Wednesday that his show "Maestro: The Art of Leonard Bernstein" will begin holiday season performances on the Royal George mainstage Nov. 1 and open on Nov. 9, playing through Dec. 30. (Tickets are $55; Ticketmaster outlets.)
"I am excited to bring this one to Chicago," Felder said from Paris, "first because I love the city and the people more than any in the country, and second, because I think the work itself does things that my previous works hinted at."
"Maestro" premiered at the Geffen Theatre in Los Angeles about a year ago.
